Thank you!

Thursday is my final day at Northlands Park and I just wanted to add a short note to thank everyone I had the pleasure of dealing with at the track.

It truly is a special place with special people. From the folks in the stables, to the horse owners, the jockeys, the 'second floor regulars' who never seem to leave and the folks who hope that their luck will change on the Casino's Slot Floor. All very warm and kind folks.

But I save the kindest words for the folks I worked directly with at the track- the staff. Everyone of them true professionals at their specific job.

It's never more apparent than on Canadian Derby Day when the event appears to run flawlessly to the casual race fan. But having been behind the scenes for two of them now, I understand the true commitment and dedication by the staff towards putting on a first class and memorable event. Trust me... it doesn't just happen without a lot of 12-14 hour work days.

It was a priviledge to work with them the past 14 months. I learned a lot. Thank You!

Time to head south- Calgary awaits.

I'm outta here!
